Colors change in this weather. Summers lost its' heat. Leaves on trees make their journey towards earth and grass. There are lots of changes that happen when Autumn arrives. It's the time when Mother Nature prepares her transition into colder weather. And while easing into time we settle down and find ways to warm up to the chill of winter.

We need to have a bit of Autumn today for we are definitely reaching transition.. one in which Mother Nature has said her peace but forces beyond hers took it to a darker place and the people affected are feeling the cold without even a moment of transition for them to prepare for. The leaves didn't just fall; they sank and drowned in a river that wasn't meant to be.

I pray for the colors of Autumn to reach out and embrace those who've been affected by tradgedy in New Orleans. For the warmth of it's golden light to cast itself upon brown skin and allow for the people to find warmth before the winter solstice brings in snow. Autumn need not be so cold.
