The Friends of Stinger Square has launched a new program called "Recycle Tech" which places new, used and/or
refurbished computers into the homes of children who cannot afford them. The use of a computer is instrumental
for a child to learn in this hi-tech world. Many children live in homes where there is no computer which already places
them at an educational disadvantage.
We are launching this campaign in the hopes that some of these children can benefit from having even a basic computer
at home to enhance their educational capabilities. If you have, or know of someone who has old computers laying around
collecting dust. Let us dust it off and give it to a child who could benefit from this gift of technology.
To donate or for more information contact Irene Russell @ 215-334-9092 or email stingersquare@Yahoo.com
All donations are tax deductible. Thanking you in advance.

Re: The Friends of Stinger Square is looking for computers for kids
Mon, November 20, 2006 - 1:06 PMHello Irene, you probably already know about Tech Soup but I'll go ahead and give the link to recycling hardware there www.techsoup.org/products/recycle/ Lots of issues come up about recycled hardware, not the least is e-junk. Some of the pages at techsoup.org are quite handy and the forums are worth a look. -
